Aromatherapy

Lavendar oil is often used in aromatherapyWhat is aromatherapy?
Aromatherapy uses oils of plants which contain the plant’s positive (chi) energy and which are beneficial for the body.

Oils are applied to the body using massage. Massage is a very relaxing and nourishing experience. Touch is an unspoken communication, but also ensures the oils are spread evenly and absorbed through the skin and into the blood stream.

At the SUCH project we massage blended fragrant essential oils in carrier oil (such as almond oil) onto the skin.

What are the benefits of aromatherapy?
There are many healing effects of massage. Massage can relieve aches and pain in muscles and reduces muscular tension. Massage stimulates circulation of blood and lymph and can reduce high blood pressure. Massage can also have a beneficial effect on the immune system.

The essential oils are blended in a carrier oil are picked to suit the needs of each individual. Massage is great for relieving stress and enables the body to utilize its own healing energy.

Aromatherapy certainly helps with the 'feel good factor'!
