Carrot and apple juice:
A favourite at the SUCH Project is carrot and apple juice. It is cheap and
beneficial to health.Carrot juice:
Carrots contain B group vitamins, Beta carotene, calcium and carotenoids.
Carrot juice contains antioxidants which enhance the immune system and can
be helpful in preventing damage caused by free radicals.
Carrot enhances the secretion of digestive juices and stimulates the
appetite. It is thought to be a good for flatulence, colic, colitis, IBS,
intestinal infections and peptic ulcers.
Apple juice:
Apples contain fiber, pectin, potassium and vitamin C. By aiding
elimination of excess fluid and toxins, apples make a good cleansing remedy.
Pectin is found is apple juice and this detoxifies the body.
Apples can be helpful for those who suffer with constipation. The pectin
in apples helps bulk out stools.
Carrot and apple juice recipe:
- 100ml carrot juice
- 100ml apple juice
Combine juices and serve with a sprig of
coriander.
